Is a non-surgical facelift possible?

Over 100 years ago in 1901 the first surgical facelift was reportedly performed. Jump forwards to 2018, and we’re sure you’ll find a far safer surgery than those carried out by the early facelift pioneers! However, modern facelift surgery can still be very taxing, expensive, and comes with a lot of complications and downtime. More and more people are stepping away from the scarily permanent results of surgery and falling into the arms of non-surgical procedures. Everyone has their own reasons for seeking facial rejuvenation, but there are a lot of different options that aren’t nearly as invasive as full-blown surgery. In this modern age of aesthetic advancement, could a non-surgical facelift be possible?

Well actually, yes it could, and in many different forms. At our Leeds and York aesthetic clinics, Skin Doctor Clinics offers many different forms of a non-surgical facelift.

The liquid facelift

A popular treatment that Skin Doctor Clinics are proud to be so renowned for is the liquid facelift. This non-surgical facelift incorporates the lifting power of dermal filler with the line softening of Botox to achieve natural-looking facial rejuvenation. These minimally invasive treatments restore facial contour, replenish lost volume, and relax over-expressive muscles to effectively lift the skin without breaking its surface. A series of targeted injections is all that this treatment requires. One of the many benefits of this treatment is that we find it is suitable for most of our clients, whereas surgical facelifts can require you to jump through a lot of hoops. The products used are safe, naturally broken down in the body, and require no general anaesthesia to achieve their enviable results.

The non-surgical blepharoplasty

In aesthetics, the eye area has generally been a very sensitive and difficult area to treat. However, thanks to some incredible technological innovations now available to us, we can safely perform a non-surgical blepharoplasty (or eyelid tightening). Traditional surgery to lift the skin in this area results in a pulled-back or perpetually surprised look for some patients, which you’d obviously rather avoid. We use the next generation of plasma technology to permanently remove loose or sagging eyelid skin. This opening of the eyes brightens them, rejuvenating an area that was previously very difficult to tackle effectively. There’s no need for long waiting lists, skyrocketing financial commitments, and downtime when a non-surgical facelift can be this easy.

The threadlift

The threadlift is one of the most advanced non-surgical facelift procedures available; it uses dissolvable threads to lift, tighten, and smooth your loose skin. We’re proud to offer the Silhouette Soft threadlift for those clients who have experienced volume loss. These lift the skin but also their altered thread placement compresses the soft skin tissue to stimulate collagen production. This not only tightens the skin but prompts it to naturally produce the proteins essential for volume and elasticity.

Why choose a non-surgical facelift?

Many clients prefer non-surgical rejuvenation to going under the knife, and there are plenty of reasons why. Firstly, a surgical facelift is permanent and unyielding. This may seem attractive at first, but if you’re not happy with your results or decide that they don’t suit you after a period of time, then it means more surgery, downtime, and money to correct these issues. All of our non-surgical facelift options are temporary but can last up to 18 months depending on which you choose. This ensures that you receive exceptional results that can be readdressed should you want to, and who’s approach to we can change as time moves on. A non-surgical facelift also allows you to age into your results, rather than out of permanent surgical results. This ensures we avoid the tell-tale look and that our results look natural.
